Zentralwäscherei

You will have noticed that we have switched from guide prices to fixed prices at our events. This decision was anything but easy for us and we would like to explain it to you as transparently as possible:

As the Zentralwäscherei association, we are pursuing the vision of creating a space for encounters, art, culture, politics and gastronomy that is as inclusive as possible. To this end, we have decided to set up a business that creates a basic infrastructure for low-threshold events that can be organised and attended. And so that we can make this infrastructure available as often as possible and to as many diverse people as possible, people do paid work for us. We are therefore constantly walking a fine line between charging the lowest possible prices and paying fair standard wages. With our target prices, we have tried to reflect the amount we would have needed to cover our costs. Unfortunately, this did not work: on club nights, for example, a target price of CHF 15 was offset by an average income of CHF 9.20. In the medium term, we could not survive like this. Nevertheless, it is important to us that culture is a good that everyone can afford! If you want to come to an event and our current fixed prices are not possible for you, you can contact us. Come to the cash desk before 24:00 or write to us on Instagram in advance. We will find a solution.

And we promise you one thing: we are constantly reflecting on our prices and adjusting them from time to time - and unlike the well-known players, this can and may also go down from time to time.
